Dye Sublimation Printing Process

In this video, we walk you through the process of making a t-shirt. We first print onto the transfer paper using a dye-sub printer. After that, a clamshell head press is used to apply the print to the t-shirt. This process is super simple, and super fast! The cost of ink and paper for making the shirt in this video is between $0.07-$0.15.

Dye-sub printing can also be used for soft signage, large-format printing, and more.

If you’re interested in doing more dye-sub printing, be sure to pick up some Beaver transfer paper. This paper delivers with consistency and has high fluid capacity.
